Why should I submit a review?
Nearly every student participates in the Room Selection process at some point during their time at Barnard, so everyone understands the stress that can come from trying to decide where to live for the next school year. These building/room reviews, photos, & videos can hopefully help students to make educated decisions based on feedback from other students.
Please note, however, that these reviews are subjective; what another student didn't like about a building/room could be exactly what you're looking for in a living situation. Also, please remember that situations around a room can change from year to year based on the other students living on a floor and/or Facilities repairs to rooms.
Residential Life & Housing will randomly select two Room Reviews that are submitted by March 30 and the writers will each receive a $25 Amazon gift certificate.
Is Residential Life & Housing going to censor my review, photo, or video?
The College has no plans to censor any reviews. If you disliked your room, just write why. Anything within reason is permitted (meaning let's keep the language civil). On the other hand, if Residential Life & Housing receives any complaints about certain reviews/photos/videos, they may have to be edited (which would be noted at the bottom of the review) or removed.

Can I submit a review for a friend's room? How about for a room that I lived in three years ago?
If you think you have some knowledge about any room on campus that you would like to impart to others, please submit a review. It does not matter if you live in the room now, three years ago, or just visited your friend's room, your opinion is welcome.
I want to submit a review, but what kind of information should I include in my description?
What did you wish you knew about your room and/or building before you moved in? What information were you looking for when you went through Room Selection?
Information that might be helpful to add in a review could include: room size, what you see out your window(s), furniture in the room, closets, number and location of electrical plugs and/or ethernet jacks, details about the kitchen/bathroom/etc.
